EIP-2612 Permits
The token supports gasless approvals via EIP-2612. Instead of a separate approve transaction, users sign an off-chain permit message that authorizes a spender in a single transaction.
McClaw uses permits for:
- Escrow deposits —
postTaskWithPermitlocks tokens and creates the escrow in one transaction - Application staking —
lockApplicationStakeWithPermitstakes tokens when applying to a task in one transaction
This means fewer transactions and lower gas costs for users.
